I thought this .072 ball on top of this post would be easier to see but there is very little difference but I still swapped them out.

Everyone has different preferences when it comes to sight picture, but there's no denying that a finer front sight post can be an asset during slow, carefully aimed fire. If you're the type of person who enjoys the challenge of stretching out your irons to longer ranges, consider trying this post. It will help you place your shots more precisely, especially on smaller targets. AT 100+ yards, a larger post can just block out something like a can of soda.
But be warned, the finer post is harder to see, so you might take a bit longer to gain your sight picture. It may not help your rapid drills.
Pros:
- aids aiming at long ranges and small targets
Cons:
- slower to pick up with your eye, especially in low light
Best Used for:
- iron sight plinking, target shooting

Worked great for changing out the bad factory post on a Palmetto AK47. Some AK sight tools I’ve used will bend outwards on the notch and break off; this sight tool feels like very sturdy steel. I recommend this tool to anyone with a Kalashnikov. Thanks OP.

Works great and is worth the price. Provides a more precise sight picture. Installation is easy and the substance on the threads works well to hold the item in place. Seems sturdy and well built etc. I can recommend it for anyone who is sick of a blocky old front sight.

I've only had the chance to use this at close to mid range (30-100yds), but it has not only made target acquisition faster, but improved MY accuracy. I'm "one of them" who rarely uses Irons, and subsequently is not all that good at it. Surprised how well my poor eyesight picks up on those thin wires while focusing on target. Looking through this sight is like using a red dot with an etched reticle. Greatly improved my point of aim on the factory notch leaf. Then paired with a ghost ring to complete the ease of use.
Best Used for:
- A front sight post, nothing else

I purchased this to replace the blocky front sight on my SKS rifle. This makes for a great sight picture so you can have a precise point of aim. I would highly recommend this sight for hunters that use iron sights or users that shoot targets for competition.
