Perfect for the money. The upper-end is mostly made of plastic which can create unsuitability in windy conditions. But if you are looking for a good tri-pod at a great price you can't beat it.
Pros: legs made of metal, great price
Cons: quick disconnect doesn't fit snug. heavier spotting scopes will have a harder time.
Would recommend: Yes

this tripod is slightly smaller and less rugged than a more expensive Konus model, but it is more than adequate to hold a chronograph at a range. One should be careful, of course, when handling something of lightweight construction.
There are two levels built in to the unit to aid in getting a chronograph level, though someone should probably bring a small, portable level to place on the chronograph itself.
This model is not as tall as the more expensive Konus and I needed to set it at full extension and also crank the center rod up several inches in order to reach an adequate height. For chronograph use at a range this model can save some money and is sufficient. I would recommend it and would repurchase this model, if necessary, for range use.
Pros: price, light weight
Cons: smaller size than Konus model 1950 (65-160)
