Great features, if a little on the light duty side
I bought this table top tripod for 2 reasons:
1. It has an offset mount, which works great for my Konus spotting scope. For whatever reason Konus did not design the mounting footprint of the 20-60x100 scope to be in line with its Center of Gravity, so it tends to be front heavy. This offset mount compensates for that nicely.
2. It has micro adjustment knobs that are great for making minute adjustments to the scope's aim. Conventional tripod heads require loosening the mount, which can be tricky especially at 60x magnification.
Now the downside... while some parts of the tripod are aluminum, the rest are plastic. My 20-60x100 Konus is a bit too heavy for this tripod and cause the scope to flex and wobble - not to the point of being unstable, but the view through the scope tends to bobble continuously. I am sure a smaller lighter-weight scope would probably match up better with this tripod.
All in all, still very usable for times I do not want to haul my heavy duty Manfrotto tripod out to the range. Folded up and stored in the included carrying bag, it is very compact and lightweight.
