Good inexpensive microscope
This is a great inexpensive microscope that funcions well and is strong enough to stand up to a 2 and 4 year old. My expertise level is moderate. For what it is I am very happy with it. I bought it with the expectation of probably returning it, but I have decided it is well worth keeping.

Get what one pays for.....
It not like the one i got as a kid. Plastic form lacks sturdiness. Not only I was disappointed, my children were too after realizing that science is beyond their immediate reach. So resorted to making cystalized sugar rock candy.

Konus Microscope
Looking in to eyepiece something like "eye lashes" shows up. After cleaning all the optics, it was still there. This interferes with seeing the object clearly.
Also, the higher power settings of 300x and 600x are totally useless, showing only a blurr instead of a sharp image. Only the 100x power showed anything half way decent.
I considered returning it, but when I checked the return policy, the item still has to be in the unopened packaging.
Pay more and get a better quality microscope. I should have known better to buy a Konus product because a friend of mine baught a Konus 200 mm telescope, it was so bad that he returned it and got a Celestron.
