Glasses super clear I would compare them to 12 x 50 Swarovski‘s. Definitely the bang for the buck binos little heavy due to the extra glass, but nothing crazy

A Most Serviceable Glass

If one is interested in acquiring a truly fine midsize binocular (42-56mm) for all around observing of nature's wildlife and also for some quick/light Astronomy observing than I can not think of any better medium size binocular than my Kowa 12x56mm BD-XD binoculars. ... This glass is truly great for quick and short observing sessions outside your home and in the garden (it has a 9'8" near focus). ... Myself, I use it on a medium size field tripod for best results for night time observing of comets, variable stars and also the bright Asteroids. ... It does work really quite well for these endeavors. ... However, One might care to use it with a monopod for garden and wildlife observing as the binocular's 12x magnification is at or near the maximum that can be comfortably hand held.
