Most Helpful Positive Review Great Replacement Product for EOTech
I bought this product to replace the hood on my EOTech 512. I had severely damaged my hood when I tried to remove a stripped screw. I was annoyed to say the least, but was pleasantly surprised to find a replacement hood for pocket change. The fit and finish makes it appear as if my 512 came fresh from the factory. All in all, I highly recommend this product if you want to replace your hood. Pros: Fits like original hood

EOTech Hood Kit

Bought this as a replacement for my 512 hood and it looks great. On one side of the hood is the law enforcement disclaimer with laser warning sticker. On the other side is the EOTech label with windage and elevation labels. The fit is perfect.

Great quality but note the style change!

As of Nov 2015 this picture is out of date. The new style has the EoTech logo on both sides with some markings around the adjustment holes. Keep this in mind when replacing for older Eo-Techs that have the Logo on the battery cover also. Looks pretty weird... like a Eo-Tech billboard. Not sure when this happened. Looking online the newer style does not have the Eotech logo on the battery cover.

Eotech Replacement Hood

These guys had the best price I could find. It took a while to get though, due to backorder. The good thing is that it makes my Eotech 512 look brand new.

This was very easy to install. Just take the mounting bolt all the way out, then remove the 4 hex screws on the hood. Reverse for installation.

Pros: Factory Replacement; Easy to install
Cons: A little pricey for something that doesn't affect function

Fits older BHolo-sites

I have an older Bushnell Hallo-site which is the same as Eotec 511 except for no extra hood and no screw holes to mount one. A small drill bit into the aluminum rail of the Hallow-site using the hood mounting holes as a guide resolved that short coming. It fits perfectly and turns the old Bushnell into an Eotec. I wish I had seen this before. Note, the mounting screws come in the package with loc-tite already applied to create a tight bond and those screws are hard enough to tap the soft aluminum rail if you drill the holes just slightly smaller than the screws. No need to buy additional screws.

Lens hood

My lens hood was jacked up and I needed a replacement. Optics Planet had an OEM replacement which was priced right, shipped fast and now my Eotech looks like new again.
