I was looking for a stainless steel internal parts kit to upgrade my everyday carry, and this one fit the bill. I’ve been running their standard kit in my G19 Gen 5 for several years, so I figured it was time to upgrade my G43 as well. Everything dropped in without issues. I contacted L2D about their springs after seeing another review and was told they’re all made by ISMI, which have been my go-to springs for years. Solid kit.

For starters, the kit does not function. This kit was purchased to go into a brand new Arc Division Glock 48 slide. However, the firing pin safety does not allow the firing pin to move forward in its channel. The firing pin safety also become stuck in the depressed position, requiring the slide to be disassembled and a punch used to free the safety. When replaced with a stock firing pin safety, the firing pin moves normally, and the safety doesn't stick.

The next issue is the finish on basically all components. The firing pin spring has a coating that grabs the finish of the firing pin channel, making the entire thing feel like it's lined in sand paper. The finish on the extractor is absolute trash, and can beat be described as two-tone black/ rust. It also came with plenty of scratching and tool marks from the factory.

Overall, the finish is horrible, the fitment/ QC is terrible, and the kit does not function. Absolutely do not waste your time or money with this.
