Great upgrade - Lancer Replacement Handguard for Sig 516

I have owned the Sig 516 for about four years. I love this Carbine with it's gas piston operating system !! Very accurate smooth handling and Sig standing behind the product. The "only" thing I did not like was the quad rail handguard. It was short (to accommodate the gas valve adjustment knob) and pretty fat. A little outdated. I soon found out the Sig handguard was proprietary and none of the usual aftermarket products would work. I figured it was just going to be one of those things I would have to live with until Sig decided to make an upgrade. Then I stumbled across the Lancer Sig 516 upgrade while watching a NutNFancy video on YouTube. As is my nature so did some research and decided the Lancer was what I was looking for. I found it on Optics Planet for $20.00 cheaper then everyone else plus free shipping. It took a "little" longer to get it shipped but as it was not a critical part the extra week was insignificant. It arrived and it IS exactly what I was hoping for. Easy to install. The length is perfect. The top cutout allies adjustment of the gas system knob if needed. There is a full length rail on top and additional rail in varying lengths can easily be installed where you need them. It is very sleek and comfortable! Worth every Penney !!
