Larue for $140 new?! worth the wait. - LaRue Tactical PredatAR M4 5.56mm Threaded Barrel

Excellent value. Initial impressions are high. Mine was dirty, just what appears to be some dried machining oil.

Docked it a star as my gas block dimples arent close to in spec, spacing if off as is the angle in relation to the gas port. Port is properly centered vertical with the indexing stud on the extension. As im using the Wojtek Arkto clamp on block, this isnt an issue for me initially. If the barrel doesnt do what Larue barrels are supposed to do, Ill make a phonecall to the last free state and try a replacement warranty return... dont want to pass up an acceptable lemon if it makes for good lemonade.

Overall I'd buy it again, for the same reasons, and those are the reputation of the barrel/maker, and the price point considering. Fitnand finish are good. Balance is perfect on my magnesium reciever and hg. Was an upgrade on my lightweight recce from a Faxon match pencil barrel, and while I didnt necessarily want to add the extra weight, I'm 100% happy I did. This thing absolutely balanced the rifle.

Very happy. Worth the wait. Will update if it shoots like garbage, though i dont expect to be back. Surprised by the QC fluke, hope its a one-off... not like Larue.

FWIW, when I ordered, the wait was 9-18 days, and the barrel shipped at just over 15 days or so.... helluva bargain overall, if it shoots. Ill let you know if it doesnt.
