Simply stops working and no customer support - Steiner DBAL-I2 Dual Beam Aiming Laser Device

I used this unit for about a month before it simply stopped working. It was all indoors (never was wet), no bumps, no drops, no real shocks to the unit other than going up and down stairs, and it just died. I called the support line several times (I had to leave a message on a basic answering service), send multiple emails and never heard back, never received a call back, nothing. I've read multiple reviews where this has happened to others. One user had 3 of them go bad on him. The quality control at Steiner is atrocious and they don't back up their products.
