Most Helpful Positive Review ND5 Hand Held Review
Thumb slide is tight and difficult to control. However a beam of light 6 feet in diameter at 100 yards is outstanding. Of course the beam can go tighter and further, but you need something to steady it with because it is the hand held version. Depth of field is difficult in unfamiliar area at first ...

Most Helpful Negative Review Quit working right at 1 year
Only worked for 12 months, now it will not turn on. Changed batteries and bought a new end cap. No luck. Called BSA/Laser Genetics and could not get a tech on the line. Left messages and finally got a tech who told me it was not under warranty and that it would cost more in labor to look at it than ...

Not for the money

by Steve, from FL, United States Written on September 26, 2022
Your products are nice while it worked. Only use it for hunting and camping, so really not used a lot. To spend a couple hundred bucks on the ND -5.to read reviews to find out your warranty sucks, never again. No, I can read the reviews to know not to bother asking. Why the one guy bought another product I can't figure. Really expected years of use. My wife wanted me to have my head examined to spend hundreds on this in the first place. Never again
Pros:
  • Can see a long way clear
Cons:
  • Too much money to not have a better quality and warranty. No more of your products
Best Used for:
  • night hunting

Great Light

by Caine, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on January 11, 2016
My first night light. It really lights up an area from zero to 100+ yards. Haven't had a chance to use it on pigs but we have spotted deer and other critters with ease. On a no moon night the beam will go for 200 yards wide open.

On/off switch (button)

by Reuben, from NC, United States Written on October 25, 2014
Love the laser (when it comes on), changed battery, light switch (button on rear) appears to be working, but light does not come on sometimes. I don't know if I need a new switch (rear on/off button) or not. Please advise. PS: its not the batteries.
Best Used for:
  • 100 to 300 yards

Another Great product, works great on a tripod. Works hand in hand with my ND3x50 when you use both together you'll be amazed at the enhancement and detail. Only complaint is the slide switch is very touchy.
Pros: Very Bright, great flood beam
Cons: Slide colimator switch

A very useful night hunting tool

by Legacy Reviewer, from TX, United States Written on November 3, 2012
Since this is not designed for direct mounting, it's use for hunting presuppoeses two people. We took it out on a dark night and set up a birchwood-casey hog target-more the size of a medium sized dog- and shot from 300 yards. The target was quite visible through the Leupold tactical scope and the shooter-a master level Service Rifle competitor was quite enthusiastic and is a likely customer.
We have used this and other laser genetics designators for observation of deer at night. They show no signs of alarm.
Pros: variable beam focus
Cons: nil

ND5 LASER

by Legacy Reviewer, from AL, United States Written on January 11, 2012
WHE I WAS SHOPPING FOR A SCOPE MOUNTED LASER SUCH AS THE ND3 I NOTICED THE ND5 COULD BE USED ALSO, ACCORDING TO THE VIDEOS, BUT SOON REALIZED THAT THE ND3 WAS USED IN THE VIDEO INSTEAD OF THE ND5. THE ND5 CAN BE USED JUST AS THE ND3 YOU JUST HAVE TO PURCHASE SOME HIGH DOLLAR SCOPE RINGS. I AM A VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER WITH THIS PURCHASE.
Pros: EASE OF USE
Cons: NOT TYPICALLY USED ON RIFLE SCOPE
