Overall, it's not a bad item. It functions well in a Beretta 92fs and the laser gets activated with every drop of the hammer. This makes sense, since it's an all-metal gun and the hammer is fairly loud when it drops. I have not tried it in polymer, striker-fired pistols.
There was a problem initially where the two Allen screws did not effect the alignment of the laser, so I had to carefully wiggle the tip of the Allen wrench inside the opening where the light comes out of to loosen up the stuck fixture. Now they seem to work, but overall I would have expected a better quality build for the price.
Nevertheless, given that it can be used for many pistols in different calibers, it's a good thing to have for dry-firing practice and probably cheaper in the long-run than .22lr conversion kits, which makes it a justifiable purchase.
