difficult to remove old sight
Have read that the old sight is difficult to remove for the average person so I have asked Laserlyte and Springfield for some tips. They refuse to answer me so I guess I will try to find a gun smith to remove the old sight. The people at Laserlyte/Springfield are NOT user friendly so I would not recommend their products

I'm always amazed at the reviews for various products that people purchase. I have had no problems with my sight. The range of adjustment was at least 18 inches in all directions. steady or intermittent operation worked just fine. I like the fact that if it is set for blink, it defaults to blink and if it is set for constant it defaults to constant. My sight was installed using a press and not hammered on. I know what your saying, the thing better hold up to impacts! but it's a little different when you beat on the sight from the side. The low profile design makes it possible to use all holsters that I have ever seen for the XDm. Price is reasonable and quality the same. If I have issues in the future I guarantee you I will be giving an update to these comments.

Laserlyte for xdm is crap
This laser replace rear sight on my xdm after it was professionally installed for a totall of $300, I couldn't get the laser to sight in. The open sights are now worthless because the laserlyte modification can only make small adjustments this product is crap and the so called warranty is void as soon as you put the laser on your gun. So their is no way of knowing how worthless it is without voiding the warranty. What a freaking rip off!!

very easy to install and sight in. Small conmpact does not distract from the weapon. Fits almost any holster.

Have yet to sight in on acloudy day.
