Most Helpful Positive Review Laserlyte Trainer Target Kit
Excellent product. Used to a G43 already so that was nice. Dry fire practice just upped a level with the Glock G43 clone included. It is nice being able to shut off the steel pinging sound when practicing also. Optics Planet shipped in a timely manner as always.
Most Helpful Negative Review It works well but I don't like the compact pistol
The Bad: This kit uses the compact pistol. Good if you have a compact pistol but the grip on the compact pistol is too small. I cannot get my pinky on the handle. The duration of the laser is too long. You can jerk the gun and the laser will sweep the target. The trigger pull is long and the br...

This thing is overpriced junk

by Duder, from CA, United States Written on January 13, 2024
This thing costs $200. It’s the cheapest plastic China-made toy. This thing couldn’t have cost more than $15 at most. Massive rip-off for this product. It’s so cheaply made. It’s also incredibly tiny. Do not waste your money on this product. Seriously way overpriced for the quality of what you get. This item seriously shouldn’t cost more than $20. Absolute ripoff

Easy to use and fun

by Steven Rubin, Verified Owner from OH, United States Written on December 24, 2023
Allows a lot of practice at low cost. I found it a good tool to introduce firearms to the neophyte.

Indoor plinking

by LT, from OK, United States Written on July 10, 2022
I got this item for some indoor target practice to save time and money on going to the range. It is pretty realistic, pistol weight and trigger pull. It will make you work on your target acquisition and trigger pull. Some friends and family came over for the 4th and noticed it set up. We took turns and played for hours.

Great targets, lousy handgun...

by Dimitar Bojantchev, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on December 29, 2021
The targets are great... but the so called handgun LT-TTLC is way too small, like a child toy... it is nowhere near a full size handgun and thus achieving a proper grip is impossible. They should have made that clear.

Great tool!

by Emily2010, from WA, United States Written on December 15, 2021
Just received my LaserLyte and I got to say it is a great practice tool. I highly recommend it. I'm not an avid shooter and this is just the tool to target practice safely and effectively. Our whole family will be playing with this at all our gatherings. Thank you OpticsPlanet! I am one satisfied customer.

OK but Poor Quality Control

by PC, from MI, United States Written on January 14, 2021
This arrived with one of the targets defective. It was missing a battery contact plate. I ended up buying contact plates and installing one myself, as it would have cost more to return and purchase again or to exchange. It is adequate for training and practice. The targets have a fairly wide angle so I was able to fire from a variety or positions. While no action from the firearm is felt I can adjust my aim, stance, etc. based on hitting or missing the targets. Recommended if you have a striker fired subcompact pistol and do not want to have to pull the slide back for every shot.

Gun should be a selectable option

by Vectordawg, from MO, United States Written on December 26, 2020
I ordered this for my son who carries a Glock 19. I tried to substitute the smaller training gun for the more comparable, larger model but they wouldn't allow it. I don't understand why as the price, if purchased separately is about the same..I think it's very important that the training incorporate as closely as possible the most similar weapon if possible. There would have been a substantial difference in price overall if the components I wanted were purchased separately. Overall, the accuracy is very good and this is a great training option when trying to save some money as compared to live fire training.
Pros:
  • accuracy
  • economical v live fire
Cons:
  • Can't select training gun of choice
Best Used for:
  • Muscle memory development

Steel Tyme Laser Trainer Target

by Steve, from PA, United States Written on December 1, 2020
Absolute waist of money. None of the steel targets flash or ding when shot by the laser. The red laser light comes and goes and only works when it wants to. Waist of my money and very frustrating it toon the company 2 weeks to send me this sort of product. And charge me so much. — its being returned.
Pros:
  • None
Cons:
  • everything
Best Used for:
  • nothing

Great for sight alignment and trigger control

by gmc, from TN, United States Written on March 1, 2020
Its a great tool for beginners to get the feel of a gun and teach them trigger control. When I make them shoot the laser before touching a real gun they do much better from the get go. For more advanced shooters, its a great tool for practicing quick sight alignment. the laser is so much cheaper than real bullets :). The targets wont respond to rapid fire and that actually works out well because if it did, it would give you a false sense of accuracy (being that there is no recoil)
