LaserLyte FSL-3 Hits a Grand Slam
Bought this LaserLyte for my Beretta PX4 Compact. Set up instructions were complete and easy to understand. The Laser was very simple to mount and get an approximate sight in at home. At the range, final sight in was piece on cake. I have not noticed any problems with the sight since my initial ...

LaserLyte VRail Subcompact FSL-3
I recommend the device because I have two of them. One that I bought earlier works great. The one I bought from Optics Planet didn't work out of the box. I am waiting on an RMA from the manufacturer. The windage adjustment would not function. The elevation adjustment responded fine, but the win...

Great laser sight!
NOTE to Unhappy - I have purchased several of these sights. Most of them are easy to adjust and work great right off the bat. However, two of the sights I bought were very difficult to zero in. The screws moved "out" very easily but would not move "in" unless I put a tremendous amount of torque on the little Allen wrench. Don't be afraid of breaking the wrench! Just apply steady, even pressure and it will turn (eventually). Once you get past the "rough spot", the sight is very easy to adjust and the problem disappears forever. BTW - the batteries probably did not "die" after 5 minutes, that was the auto shut off feature.. RTFM!
Pros: Battery saving feature (blinking light)
Cons: Sometimes "excessive force" is required to zero in

Mounted on a Long Gun (Shotgun)
This laser sight has satisfied all my requirements for old eyes, low light conditions, night time use, and simple & convenient operation. I found this to be a very good purchase.
I mounted this laser on my Amega Ranges shotgun rail. It sits on the front end of the rail, spaced 5 picatinny slots in front of the red dot sight giving me enough room so I can conveniently get to the On/Off button with my thumb. This puts the laser beam passing above the shotgun bead site and under the field of vision for the red dot sight. It has a very low profile and is hardly even noticeable. You may want to mount it somewhere else on your long gun. Its small enough that it will easily accommodate this by using different available mounting solutions.
Once turned on the laser will stay on until you turn it off or the timer eventually turns it off (a battery saving feature). I find this constant on switch to be a nice feature, particularly when your laser is mounted on a pump action shotgun, since once you turn it on you are free to use the pump action as necessary without having to worry about keeping your finger on a typical pressure switch that is found on most lasers or flashlights and thereby leaving you to better concentrate at the task at hand. And, of course, turning it off again is as convenient as turning it on.
Pros: Design, Size, Convenient On/Off
Cons: None so far

disappointed
I recieved one for my birthday, was very excited. Got everything mounted up, went to zero it in...nothing. Windage and elevation screws will go from lock to completely falling out with no movement from the 'dot'. thinking I had a rare fluke from a reliable company, I took it back and got another. Same issues again, and with both units the batteries lasted less than 5 mins while I was trying to zero in. Terrible in my opinion. If anyone has had good luck with these, I wish you well....but I will not be trying another or recommending these to anyone I know.
Pros: well..it is a laser as advertised
Cons: adjustment, battery life

Laser
This little laser is a powerhouse. It takes little space the picatinny rail on my rifle. It's tough and you can't even tell it's mounted because it's so light. LaserLyte is a top shelf company in my opinion and I'm a repeat customer. Thanks Optics Planet !
