Installation was very easy, as is activation. The auto shutoff feature is especially welcome considering this pistol is pocket carried most of the time. I also have a Lasermax weapon light on my G42, and the two together make for a versital if small concealed carry pistol. The recoil spring is a bit heavier than the original, but I got used to it in no time. It may seem like an expensive upgrade, especially when paired with the weapon light, but it is definitely worth it.
