Big plus for home/self defense handgun - LaserMax Laser Sights for Government 1911 (5" barrel) Gun

Simple installation as advetised. The cast replacement slide stop lever is not finely machined like the SA 1911 externals, but it works, is not really noticeable and the matte stainless finish blends well. The only external addition to the gun's profile is the small black plastic tear drop shape switch on each side. Switch seems a little stiff but I will give it some use before attempting any adjustments. The ability to get the gun on target from awkward positions where you can't easily get a sight picture speaks for itself.
Pros: Minimal external profile
Cons: No green laser option
