Crimson Trace or LaserMax ?

by Legacy Reviewer, from AL, United States Written on July 3, 2012
I have both of these Laser Grips on a Glock-19 & Glock-17. I got my Lasermax first and the toggle button fell out the first day...Did Not matter cause I keep in on anyways. I'v have had it now over and year and it,s been great ! I just got my Crimson Trace for my Glock-17 and right away I could see that I loved the LaserMax better...Here is why; The laserMax has the on/off switch & pulsating beam ( Not on C/T ) The batteries in the Lasermax can be replaced without removing the whole unit like on the C/T...Also the Unit will have to be re-adjusted everytime the batteries are replaced on the C/T. Another thing I love on the Lasermax is the activate button is stiff and it does not activate except with a firm grip. The C/T activates even if it,s touched...way to easy ! All the advantages go to the LaserMax...wish I had it on both Guns...but I will just have to live with the Crimson Trace for now...Take my advise and buy the LaserMax ...the prices was almost the same around $ 179.00 ea.
Pros: lasermax has more features
Cons: weak toggle switch

LaserMax sight for Glock not for everyone

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on April 5, 2010
Recommended with reservations. My wife has small hands; it does not work for her with her Glock 19 (but it does for me). Every hand does not fit to apply proper pressure to activate the laser. The sight is a little bulky and makes concealed carry slightly more challenging. Also, it is difficult to pull the slide back because part of the sight is right where you would naturally grasp the slide.
Pros: Gets the job done. Very easy to install
Cons: Has limitations. Bulky. Hard to grasp slide.
