Very easy install. Hardest part is the retaining pin spring. It’s just hard to get it back in all the way as you set the folding adapter, but once you figure out how to hold that still as you get the folder seated against the receiver, you’re pretty much home free. Definitely nice to save the space during storage or transport. I can take my AR pistol to the range in a backpack now. Pretty convenient!
Pros:
- Easy to install
- Looks cool
- saves space
Cons:
- makes firearm about an inch longer
Best Used for:
- storing and transporting your AR

I bought and installed the Gen 3-M last August, but never got around to using it. My AR fell off my picnic table and the butt stock took a minor hit. Very minor hit. The latch broke like a cheap toy. I've asked Law to replace the part and so far it hasn't materialized. Either way, I no longer trust it.

I got it installed on my banshee as I was putting a spectre 9 suppressor. I was going to make it my backpack gun and it fits very nicely in backpack. I have an elite survival steal backpack and with law tactical, I have more than enough room even with suppressor on. It does add more weight to my banshee but not as much. I do recommend the law tactical.
Pros:
- easy to use
- Compact Size
- Sturdy

I bought this item for the folding function in order to better transport two ARs in pelican rifle case and to add a little length of pull to my light weight (<7lb) pistol build.
The LAW tactical folder was easy to install following the directions, the “cool factor” was there, and it is very well built and the folding mechanism functioned great.
However it added more weight to the gun than I had expected, upsetting the balance and ergonomics that I was going for when I built the gun.
I also have a perfectly tuned adjustable gas block for shooting suppressed 300 subs, and run a JP silent captured spring - this folder requires a conversion kit (+$100) in order to cycle the bolt using the JP SCS. That addition added more weight, money, and another factor in reliable cycling and tuning that I didn’t care for -on this gun. It works great on my 16” build, since I don’t care about the weight or need to tune much to cycle.
For the purpose of this current build it just didn’t make sense to sacrifice the weight, cycling factor, and money (~$350 +S/H) just for the ability to fold the gun when I can take the upper off with the pins during transport or carry concealed if I need a lightweight compact solution.
Pros:
- Sturdy
- Well constructed
- Added a bit more length
- Compact & tough
Cons:
- cycling issues
- unnecessary weight
- conversion kit needed
