Don't forget to buy one of these

I almost forgot to buy one of these! You MUST if you have a fixed front sight on your upper so your scope is above it. I bought a Leapers scope which mounted flawlessly to this mount. The mount affixed perfectly to the Picatinny rail of my AR-15 upper. I sighted in my new scope today with NO flaws. What a great, economical combination. Would definitely recommend.
Pros: Does the job.
Cons: Adds a little more weight.

Perfect - Rugged, Reliable, Strong

Got this for my AR-15. I put a fairly heavy scope on top of it, sighted it in, then checked my rifle and scope (still on the rail) on an American Airlines Flight that stopped in Dallas, TX.

TSA, in their amazing stupidity, searched my bag and moved the scope from the protected insides of clothes to the very outside, where it took the brunt of the forces of being dropped and thrown around by the baggage people.

Upon getting home, I went out shooting, reattached the scope rise, and shot a 1" shot group at 200 yards with cheap .223 ammunition without really trying.

This left no doubt in my mind that this is very durable and reliable - especially since it has the long attachment rail that helps put it on the rifle in the exact same orientation every time without effort.

Leapers AR-15 Deluxe Riser Mount -Not See-thru MNT-A95

This replaced the rear sight carry handle on my Bushmaster AR-15 flat-top. It put my red-dot right above the fixed front sights. You need a riser like this to not obstruct or co-witness w/front sights. It is solid and matches the same build type of the gun, the retaining screws are exact replicas of the ones on the carry handle that I removed.
Pros: Perfect compliment to the AR-15 build type

Great Value

I purchased this Leapers picatinny riser mount for mounting a scope to my AR15 flattop. Without the rise of the mount, which is about 1" the scope would be too low for comfortable sighting with the straight-back stock -- just right for me now.
Pros: Sturdy, good workmanship and finish, great value
