Chinese copy - Leapers UTG MP5 Steel Claw Mount w/ STANAG to Picatinny Adaptor

First of all, this is not a reflection on Optics Planet; they sell tons of products and are not responsible for the manufacture of this mount.

Having said that, I cannot recommend this product. It is a cheap cast metal Chinese copy of a spec HK claw mount. It's marked "UTG." There is a solid metal nub on the rear part of the mount that prevents it from mounting properly to a PTR-91. Even after grinding it off, the mount still did not line up properly. I suspect this is due to raised cast disks on the underside of the mount that hold the mount a tad higher than spec, meaning the claws will not go into the locked position. A very large screw on the underside rear of the mount makes uneven contact with the iron sight when it should fit in the center of it. This claw mount is completely useless.

Again, this is not the fault of Optics Planet, which I continue to recommend very highly.
