Most Helpful Negative Review Buyer Beware
This mount will not work on American made, knock off, type Galil receivers (the Golani Sporter by Century Arms, for example.) According to the folks at Leapers, it was designed for original Israli made receivers where the dovetail cut in the receiver is deep enough to catch the mount.

Galil scope mount

This Galil scope mount attaches easily. The only tool required was an alan wrench they provided. I have so far added a vertical fore grip and a 4X scope to this platform and both are very solid. No complaints. And truth be told the plastic handguard you remove to install optics mount is pretty heavy in itself so I think the weight issue is a wash. But whats really going to add weight is all the cool toys I can now put on my gun. P.s It comes with rail covers already. So no need to order them like I almost did and they provide comfortable hand placement should you not want a vertical fore grip.
Pros: Provides solid optics platform for your golani sporter
Cons: Adds a pound

Perfect fit!

it mt all of my expectations and then some!! a great fit east to follow in instructions and when all is said and done the gun looks like a bad ass Israeli gun should!!!
Pros: great fit, easy install, and a bad ass look to your gun!!
Cons: add a little more weight to it... but worht the weight
