Decent scope for the money. included batteries don't work! - Leapers UTG 1-8x28mm Combat Rifle Scope

I received this scope and immediately inserted the included battery necessary for the reticle to be illuminated. NO reticle illumination with either "no-name" 2032 battery provided with the scope. I bought a 2-pack of Duracell 2032 batteries for $4.00 and tried both new batteries separately in the scope. The scope reticle illumination worked properly with both new Duracel 2032 batteries. The fit & finish on the scope is above average for scopes in this price range. The scope is a bit longer & heavier than I expected, but the scope features all work as advertised unmounted on the intended rifles. I will see how the scope performs in the future when mounted on my AR & AK platforms. I will compare this mil-dot reticle to the same circle-dot reticle scope I already purchased to determine which reticle I prefer for general use and 3-gun competition use.
