foremanjf's Review of UTG Pro 1-8x28mm MRC 30mm Tube Rifle Scope, Second Focal Plane
Firstly, UTG newer reticle the German #4, BDC design and the UMOA on their other series scope, BIG improvement.
Less scope "wash" reflection off the LED reflecting back in your eye, made early UTG scopes unusable for basic scope + green laser night use. Even on low intensity the older Mil-dot reticle UTG reflect back way too much,
Good news, they fixe that with these scopes. There's still a little internal reflection, but going to lower intensity on these newer reticles and it's way better for night + green laser or flash light use.
For those of us who went from "Eagle eye" in our 20's to near-sighted + astigmatism in our 40's - where "Starbust" of head-lights and overly bright reticles... is a real concern.
Need pro level optics at my age, this is a budget solution. Next over this you're looking at Atibal $279, or Swampfox $320+ for similar 1-8x specs or better reticle.
Only con, this is 35mm O.D. at the lens- sun shade bell. Otherwise the Trybe optic 2x doubler would fit (34mm option). I kept this excellent 1-8x UTG scope, but had to return Trybe optic doubler, but c'est la vie.

Pros:
- clear glass, large eye box, G4 CDB reticle, less scope "wash" reflection from reticle internally
Cons:
- doesn't fit Trybe 2x 34mm doubler, optic O.D. is 35mm at lens bell
Best Used for:
- home defense, short to medium range hunting
