Most Helpful Positive Review Cheap and Very Effective !!!
Recommend? Absolutely. A scope that has it all and everything works as stated to boot for under $70. Can you say bargain. Controls are real stiff but better that to loose. I use this on a high power rifle and it has handled its beatings well. Usually never have it cranked past 6-8x out to 3oo yards ...

You gotta getcha one!!!!

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from PA, United States Written on January 18, 2013
Every hunter needs one of these. Best price ever for the quality. Easy to set up and use. The green and red illuminations in the scope make good visualization in the dust of the morning. I am going to buy a second one for my other rifle.
Pros: Great for longer distances
Cons: Had to remove my open sites

Good Scope - CenterPoint Illuminated 4-16x40mm Scope

by Legacy Reviewer, from DC, United States Written on January 13, 2013
The included rings were too tall for my Savage Axis .223. I replaced them with a set of Weaver 1" Quad-Lock 4X4 Rings Matte High for 10 bucks. They are the perfect height for this applications
Pros: Inexpensive, lots of features
Cons: I don't understand the utility of an illuminated reticle. If it is dark enough to use them, they destroy your night vision.

My first 21st century scope

by Legacy Reviewer, from VA, United States Written on January 11, 2013
mounted on beeman rs/2 .22 caliber.. perhaps i was just lucky, but zeroed in 6 shots! stays zeroed too! 5o shots, in my rifle, thats getting that 'sweet" spot, break-in im just NAILING IT! using a 10 meter zero, i was hitting golf balls at 90-100 yds, using the mil beads.. this is with the .22 barrel. i have a .177. but i love the impact , of the .22, this scope PERFECTLY compansates, for the extra drop, chrono at 820 fps, with .22 destroyer, a trunceted cone pellet.. a bit more hold over, on the heavy magnum field , pellets {to be expected}.. all in all, fabulous, for the $$$.. my best scope is a Unetrl 12 ultra varmint master , a one trick pony , from the 60's 1k scope, this is dream come true! i would paid twice what did for this scope.. im 57. been shooting since i was 8 yo, trained by father, a NRA INSTRUCTOR COUNTY PRESIDENT, OKLAHOMA 12 YEARS.. THANKS PLANET OPTICS!

Pros: everything!
Cons: lens covers are a bit "funky"

So far, a great buy.

I did get this scope mounted on my Marlin X7VH .308 after cutting the barrel down to 18". It worked fine. Clear sight picture, easy adjustment with the large turrets and it holds zero. I think this scope is definitely not limited to rimfire and/or airguns. Time will tell for sure but it looks good and functions very good for me. The one drawback is the weight but it is a 16 power scope.
Pros: Price, quality, solid construction, appearance
Cons: Heavy

Absolute best for the price I've seen so far.

Image quality starts to fade at the max power setting. The lit reticle is great for cloudy or dawn/dusk shoots. I'm a fan of the mil dot reticle and the finger adjustable turrets. The scope does not mount well on my 795 unless I get the medium height rings, the high rings would be better.
Pros: Durable, high value per dollar, comes with rings and batteries, strong power
Cons: Front and rear adjustments are very stiff, high power Setting shows much glare.

Good value purchase

by Legacy Reviewer, from WA, United States Written on July 30, 2012
This is a complete scope package that is easy to setup, zero in, and use. Which is exactly what I was needing. I like the extended mil-dots (more of them). And the magnification is great! Good optics, in a rugged scope. Nice value.
Pros: easy setup, good features, complete package
Cons: Taller mounts would be nice, but these are good

Fantisic scope

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from OH, United States Written on July 16, 2012
I replaced my factory installed scope
on my Remington 770 .243 Win with this
one. I was able to make 100-400 yd shots with the optics and easy adjustment knobs. Would definitely recommend this to anyone into long range hunting or target shooting.
Pros: Adjustment knobs, sharp focus
Cons: Big!
