Most Helpful Positive Review Leapers pistol scope
This scope is great. I put it on my magnum research bfr in 45-70 and it has held zero at 75 yards. I highly recommend this to any pistol hunter. I will get another. The cost compared to the performance is another plus. I had a Simmons pro hunter and the reticle blew out after the 4th round. Warranti...

Most Helpful Negative Review UTG 2-7X32 handgun scope
Follow up review on 5/21/15. After shooting over 100 rnds the magnification no longer worked. Only worked on 2X.I had hopes for this scope as I own 2 others on my AR's and have had great luck. Had to send back. Too much recoil, I guess.

Impressed for $$$

by Cutshoot, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on February 26, 2025
Impressive for the money so far replaced a 2x leupold on my Ruger super red hawk 44magnum i just needed more power this scope has more than I needed held up great to 150 rounds of magtech 240gr ammo honestly never shot tighter groups with any other scoped handgun than this inexpensive utg 2x7 handgun scope was going to get another leupold variable but looks like they are not making them right now 2-15-25 so gave this scope a try and like I said impressed

Scope out of focus

by Ken, Verified Owner from CO, United States Written on January 16, 2025
I had to send this scope back as it wouldn’t focus and just wasn’t right. I did ask for a replacement of the same brand

Keeping My Fingers Crossed

by Harris Stein, Verified Owner from AZ, United States Written on September 8, 2023
I put this scope on a Taurus Raging Hunter 460 Mag with an 8 3/8 Inch barrel. I only fired 6 rounds till now with the scope on but so far so good. I'm using factory ammo and ammo I reload myself with 200 Grain to 250 Grain Bullets. Nothing heavier. It keeps the recoil manageable and I use shooting sticks to steady my shots. As time goes on I'll see how the scope holds up.

Fair Value, Adequately Built

by ArcticNemo, from AK, United States Written on February 8, 2023
I have been using this for about a year on a nitro-piston airgun. It has held up perfectly for several thousand shots so far. Parallax is pronounced if one is not entirely in line. Did well on a .357 to ~125yd
Pros:
  • Drop reticle references well for airgun and rimfire
Cons:
  • Illumination washes out lowlight targets

Pros:
  • good quality
  • Lens protection
  • large eye relief
Cons:
  • none yet
Best Used for:
  • hunting

Leapers UTG 2-7x32 Handgun scope with PDC reticle

by William Yingling, from PA, United States Written on April 28, 2018
This is my first handgun scope.
Quality seems excellent.
I mounted it on a Cricket Bolt action Single shot .22 with 10.5" barrel
Excellent groups sighted in for 75 yds. The PDC reticle works well. The first hashmark hits right on at 100yds. with the scope zeroed for 75 yds.
Haven't used the red/green reticle but they work fine.
Above 5x the sight picture becomes tunneled and sometimes hard to find the target but I believe this is a problem with most long eye relief scopes when you crank the power up.
Completely satisfied with my first handgun scope.

Remember why you only paid X$

by David, Verified Owner from SC, United States Written on March 23, 2018
Nice that it comes with rings, those things can add up. Decent scope for the money, remember why you didn't want to spend tons of money on a hand gun scope. not hard to tune in. The cross hairs get a little blurry the more energy you use, but decent.

can't stand the recoil

by Steve, from OR, United States Written on August 13, 2017
would have been a good scope if it could handle the recoil. Thought I was upgrading from the Simons that was on the TC Contender 375Win. After 20 rds the power adjustment no longer worked, stuck on 5. Sent it back, reinstalling the Simons for now.

Amazing scope.

by Frank G, Verified Owner from TN, United States Written on June 26, 2017
Frankly I didn't expect a lot from this scope for the price. I was wrong, the quality of this Leapers optic was amazing. Mounted it on a S&W SS 357 mag, came with UTG rings and battery. Illumination, green & red, clear and bright, lens are much better then one would expect in this price range.
Pros:
  • Quality and fair price.
Cons:
  • None.
Best Used for:
  • Handgun Hunting.
