This was purchased with the intent to quickly remove a Magpul picatinny bipod since it uses screws to affix to the handguard. I imagined that being "aluminum" it would be lightweight, but the fact, and unweighted by me, is that it's actually relatively heavy. Yes, added weight to the SBR, but truth be told, if you're installing a bipod, then practicality lies in the purpose of its accessory. The next issue is the quality of the quick disconnect lever mechanism. This is definitely not the adjustable, locking quick detach lever you find on your EOTech, but for the sake of trying it out, I am giving it a solid 3 stars for cost, ease of installation, and general functionality, until it fails.
