The recital is fine like I like it for precise targeting. The light gathering is great during mid day to evening shooting. Bore sighting showed I needed to raise the back mount to have enough elevation to adjust out to range. Note never shim the rings you will ruin your optic. I evenly upped my rear mount with proper angle. zeroed it in a few shots locked it down and fired 100 rounds down range no problems. So far great optics at a great price point.
Pros:
- fine lines
- great price and it works
Best Used for:
- informal target / hunting

Nice scope for the price. I could hit a target at 500 yards when I was young. Now that I'm old, this makes me feel young again. Once you dial int the dope for this scope, you can't miss. Everything is labeled so this is child's play for advocate shooters.
Cons:
- Finding the right dope (military slang)

For the money, you get a great scope with the rings included.
Mounted this on my AR and the only issue I had getting it to zero was my own inexperience. After I got it zeroed I fired several rounds and it held zero perfectly. The picture is very clear, the reticle is clear and sharp and it's a better scope than the price would suggest.
Here's why I didn't give it a 5. For me, the illumination controls are difficult to figure out, but I expect that things should be so simple you don't need a manual. They'll probably be fine for others. Second, it's massive. It's almost 16" long and, for me, too big for offhand shots. If you're hunting from a stand, using a rest or shooting off a bench then the size won't matter.
Pros:
- Can't beat the price for the quality.
Best Used for:
- target & hunting from a stand

Bought this to put on a 6.5 Creedmoor. The optics are good, I like the variable power and the large objective lens and 30mm tube means it gathers a lot of light. Love the side focus. This is the second of this scope I have purchased, I prefer to use the same scope on rifles. This probably won't be my last.

Good scope, Built like a tank. Parallax adjusts clearly from 12 yards out clearly.overall a good scope for the price. I own Burris, Nikon,Bushnell,Hawke and a few more brands to compare but this Leapers does the job about as well. Might I add a lot cheaper price, guess I like-em this is the sixth Leapers I've purchased.

Overall good budget scope. Dont expect the quality of a Nikon or high end Vortex or other brands. This is mainly entry level. Good for plinking and learning how to shoot long distance. If your on a tight budget give it a shot.

Very nice scope. For the price you can't beat this scope. This rifle scope is by far the best on the market for the money! If you have not tried one, you should because they are getting to be very popular and for the money and quality of the scope, you will not find a better deal. Clarity is great, durability and craftmanship is #1. Well built to withstand abuse from higher powered rifles like my .270 WSM. you cannot go wrong with this scope I have bought 2 Leaper scopes and both are 4x16 power, one with 40mm and the other with 44mm with illuminated mil.dot reticles. I am very impressed with these scopes. For me, I would rank them right up there with Leuopold or Burris. Value wise they are unequalled by any other scope on the market, in my opinion. Pros: Best of the best for the value.

Scope is a very good scope for the money. I like mine so well that I have purchased a second one. If you are on a budget, or even if you are not, you will not be disappointed in this scope. I would recommend however if you are a big guy, as myself at 6'-3" tall, that you consider a raised mount to go along with it if you are installing it on an AR15. I use the leapers 5.5 long .83" tall picatinny riser and it worked perfect for me to get the correct eye relief.

Love this scope! I have it mounted on a Gamo Silent Stalker Whisper air pellet rifle. If you are going to use this scope with this rifle you will need to get the Leapers Weaver/Picatinny Tactical Rail Adaptor for .22/Airgun Rifles - 100mm Long, 9 Slots MNT-PMTOWL MNT-PMTOWL. You can find it on this site at:
http://www.opticsplanet.com/leapers-weaver-picatinny-tactical-rail-adaptor-for-22-airgun-rifles-100mm-long-9-slot.html
Once dialed in the scope is spot on shot after shot. I have not had to readjust it at all in over 500 shots. The optics are clear once focused in and I have not experienced any flares or distortions. Zoom works well, although, usually leave it at the highest power of 16. This is mounted to a pellet rifle so I basically don't shoot beyond 100 yards but I could see it mounted to a rifle firing shells at greater distance with larger targets. The illuminated scope is nice in certain situations. Craftsmanship is very nice, especially how the locking and centering where designed. The scope may be a bit heavy to some but you get used to it after a while. The scope comes with front and rear flip up lens caps and two 1 inch mounts.
All in all; very happy with the scope. You can't beat the price.
