As with all of the Leapers products I've owned, this one seems to be very well made, especially for the money. The dot is very well pronounced, and shows up equally well in red and green. Easy to mount and remove. Glass is nice for the price.

Purchased this unit to use on a new Del-Ton AR-10 for close range shooting, found the dot was too small for my purpose, this model has a single red or green dot, the new UTG model has a dot with a T dot reticle which may be better for my needs, I eventually put it on an AR-15 with good results, quality unit for the price, Quick release mount is easy to set and use, UTG has some Great products, check them out...

Great introductory red dot sight. The dot is a little bit grainy but you get what you pay for. It attached easily and seems to hold zero. It's a little bulky but looks great. It seems to be a great product for the money.

The sight seemed to be well made and the flip-up lens caps were a nice option. However, I tried to mount this sight on an ATI Omni-Hybrid flat-top receiver. I couldn't get the elevation adjustment to go down far enough to get the carbine sighted-in.

This dot is used on my backup AR15, and as such has not seen much in the way of abuse or rugged use. I do not know how well it will keep it's zero if it gets knocked around. Overall it is a great red dot in it's price point and I can not find any fault in using it as a cheap alternative to more expensive options, especially on backup firearms.
The lens covers that came with it are easy to mount and to use. They pop open very easily and can be mounted and removed quickly if you choose to do so.
The QD mount is where the device lost a star. When mounting on an AR platform rifle you will need a 1/2 inch riser (8 or more slots) to get a proper cheek weld and to co-witness your iron sights. It may actually work well out of the box on rifles like the Tavor where the top rail is a bit lower, I chose not to pull my scope off and try just for a review. The screws on the mount are not good either. They are very small and come out with only a few turns. Be careful not to lose them. When you mount the sight tighten the screws only enough to feel resistance and for the sight to stop wobbling. Then try to open the quick turn lever. If adjusted right the lever should should give a little resistance and then pop open. If there is no resistance tighten the screw 1/8 turn more and try again until set. If there is much resistance at all back off on the screw 1/8 turn until set properly. Once set up the mount seems to work fine.
Something you should know. The sight adjustment knob...

Pros:
- Well optioned and made for it's price
Cons:
- QD Mount needs to be set up carefully and needs to have a seperate riser to work on AR pattern rifles.
Best Used for:
- Backup firearms where you do not want to spend a lot of money on the optics

Overall seemingly good build quality. Pro's are:
-clear recital
-emerald coating
-easy use with clear instructions
-quick mounting
The only con I found is that if someone is going to use this sight to co-witness you will need a riser/mount of some kind. Factory this does sit Pretty low.

Red setting could not be seen, green setting could only be seen if it was dark and the target was black. A waste of $50
Pros: Easy to mount
Cons: Does not work, even with new batterys

Nice sight with a good price. Really like the quick connect/disconnect feature and the integrated flip-up covers. Both red and green dots have varying brightness levels and both work well in sunlight.
Pros: Price; Ease of setup; Features
Cons: None so far

Put this on my AKM. Was still performing well after 300+ rounds. Not the most accurate, but for the price, it is good enough to work.
Pros: Easy to take on and off. Extra battery.
Cons: Flip-up lens caps are not easily removed.

I bought this for my father to use on his 10/22. He's been shooting for close to seventy years and has always been an iron sights guy (he bought his first scope three years ago), but finally admitted that he was having trouble with target acquisition and front sight discipline due to aging eyes. A few minutes to get a basic zero, ten rounds with the front lens cap closed so that he learns to focus on the target and not the dot, and he's smiling at the range again.
Now, is this optic going to stand up to the combat standards of an Aimpoint or Eotech? Is the QD mount up to LaRue standards? No it's not, but he's not going to be taking a 10/22 into battle either. Is my old man having fun at the range and giggling with his buddies again? Yes, he is, and that's worth far more than the fifty dollars I spent on this optic.
Pros: price, simple controls, QD mount
Cons: no auto shutdown/time out
