Most Helpful Positive Review Very Nice Optic
I bought this scope for a 22 rifle new build. The scope slid onto the Weaver rail nice and easy and was very easy to tighten down the mount to the rail. I bought the scope with the "T" reticle instead of the Dot and I really like the "T" reticle for sighting in on a target--just personal preference....

Most Helpful Negative Review Listen to the negative reviews!
I was looking for a budget red dot sight because I do not shoot my AR too often and I did not want to spend hundreds on an Eotech or Aimpoint. I read the reviews about the t-dot being blurry, but there were also some good reviews on here that said it was a good sight. There was a coupon with this si...

UTG 6inch Red/Green T sight

by JQUESTS, from NC, United States Written on August 13, 2023
It's like everything else you buy from China...it's hit or miss. I've had one run perfect on a 4.6x30 and one I had to return for flickering on a AR /AK in 7.62x39...I know Remeo 5 best low-end combat dot bushnell 25 best low-end red dot...I just like the sight picture and looks of this sight and if things hit the fan I'm not grabbing anything without a eotech aimpoint or Trija anyway.Good sight at $60 bucks for plinking.
Pros:
  • Low cost,great sight picture,good looks red & green T sight
Cons:
  • You may get a bad one and have to return it for a good one...But UTG warranty is good
Best Used for:
  • Not for use outside the wire

pairs with 3x magnifier out the box

by Thomas Torres, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on May 3, 2021
I bought this to pair with the UTG 3x magnifier. Pairs great. Didn’t need any adjustment to magnifier. Just laser bore sighted this dot and that was it. Need to use lock tight in screws. Rapid fire will shake them lose without it.
Pros:
  • value
  • Warranty
  • Price and install ease
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • 100 yards or less

update on UTG T Dot sights

by Chris S, from NC, United States Written on March 10, 2021
So I found myself wanting to try this optic again. 1 year later I’m hoping UTG has found and fixed the problem on an otherwise fantastic package. I opted for the smaller version and as I open and look at the T- 8 degrees crooked . 1 year of practicing gun building gave me the courage to tear the quick release down and investigate. There is a 2 part quick disconnect held by screws and lock washers and low and behold- an extra lock washer under one of the screws and the platform. I removed the washer and the T is flat and perpendicular now. Great Success!

Great Concept- Sturdy Construction-Poor Optics

by Chris S, from NC, United States Written on August 13, 2020
I love Leapers and so I wanted to love this. I actually bought it from another vendor- because I had a store credit and the reviews were somehow much better than they are here. I am no expert on optics but the scuttlebutt is on the mark. The T optic(very cool) but somehow seems canted about 8degrees to the left. The brightness switch on my unit worked but didn’t correlate to the sliding scale. It seemed to be off or on too bright and a long turn of no intensity adjustment. That’s when I noticed I could actually see the reflection of the screen making the T. If you turn the scope around you can see the lighted T as well - a bright green light that say’s “ I’m over here”.
I didn’t make it to the range with it as the reports are you need magic to hold a zero on this- however that adjustment nob set is a fantastic design. You can make adjustments on the fly without tools.
It’s going back.

Not worth it

by JM, from PA, United States Written on July 4, 2020
Unlike some others, I didn't find the reticle blurry on this, but I did find it wouldn't hold adjustments. I'd take it out to the range, sight it in to where it was grouping great. Next time I went out to the range it wouldn't be shooting anywhere near where it was the previous shooting session. And I know it wasn't because it was loose on it's mounts, because I had that checked by a gunsmith. If it wasn't for this issue, I'd probably rate it a 5.

Blurry view

by Jim, from MO, United States Written on June 24, 2020
Was really excited to get this scope and mount in my new M&P. The deliver arrived in a reason amount of time...not fast, but acceptable in light of current situations with COVID. Unfortunately, Like other purchasers of this scope....my scope is blurry too. WAY too much money spent for this kind of garbage!

Great sight for 300 blackout

by rdonk, from NM, United States Written on June 15, 2019
I bought one of these a couple of years ago, I was not expecting much. it was heavy but takes abuse and never loses zero, reticle is razor sharp and the green is very visible in bright light while the red does not mess up your night vision. I have thousands of 300 blackout rounds fired under mine, with absolutely no issues
Pros:
  • Price
  • Rugged and reliable
  • Excellent battery life
  • Holds zero
Cons:
  • Heavy
Best Used for:
  • CQB
  • Fast action AR shooting

Aims so low you might shoot your toes off!!!

by G Man, from CO, United States Written on June 11, 2018
Bought this scope several months ago. Just mounted it on new rifle and what a disappointment! Right out of the box at the absolute highest setting it shoots 2-3 feet low at 50 yards on a .22lr rifle. It is now way past 30 day return so I now get the pleasure of dealing with Leapers themselves to attempt resolution. Not at all impressed with this scope and I own several Leapers products. I definitely do not recommend this scope.
Pros:
  • None at all
Cons:
  • Can't use it
Best Used for:
  • scrap

great optic

by Correy Richmond Adkins, Verified Owner from MO, United States Written on April 30, 2018
It is a great scope! Using it to plink at 100 and 200 out of a 223 Wylde Barrel, it works great, you can adjust brightness. It looks like a high end red dot, but we know it’s not! Regardless though it performs! Shipping was quick as well!
