I K's Review of Leapers UTG Top Mounted Deployable Iron Sight
Sight is durable and easy to install. I purchased it for my very first AR build and it worked well up until I decided to make some upgrades. Unfortunately someone made the terrible design choice to offset the detent at an angle to left. Why this was done I have no idea since even milspec front sights have the detent directly center which is also the industry standard.
As someone mentioned, this prevents you from adjusting the front sight post using a bullet tip. But the bigger problem is that the offset detent makes the sight incompatible with all aftermarket A2 posts that have a non-circular sight post like the one that comes with this sight. For example, any front sight post with tritium inserts or any chevron-shaped front sight posts will be off at a weird angle. Wish UTG would fix this.
Other than that, excellent value for the money.
