Fit was not good, rail does not match taper of barrel and inserts are extremely difficult to install. Rail is unstable until inserts are in place. If you are looking for a quad rail for an older mini look no further.

I purchased this quad rail for a 182 series mini 14. The only problem I have with it is not with the rail system at all. I didn't pay attention to the fact that estimated shipping was so long and I was getting impatient. As for the rail itself, great product. Solid mounting, sturdy feel, easy to mount, the alloy is very nice and strong. Part of the mounting instructions actually say to spread the rail to get it into position, I was surprised at how difficult it was to spread. If your front sight is a single blade this will work for you but if it is a protected blade don't bother.

complete piece of crap

purchased the quad rail because i was thinking it would make a nice addition to my mini 14 but when i went to put it on it was a nightmare and once it was on it does not fit correctly and there is too much slop too much movement for optics. so now i have a scratched up mini with a piss poor quad rail. if your thinking about buying this do yourself a favor and pass on it.
Pros: looks cool
Cons: doesnt fit and poorly made
