Most Helpful Positive Review All that is Maxpedition for less than half the price
I research my gear heavily. I am US military currently deployed, and I needed a "man purse" while I am dressed as a civilian in a foreign ministry. I almost bought the maxpedition but thought if this was not up to specs, the price would allow me to throw it away. I'll be buying these for all the ...

Most Helpful Negative Review PVC-218R
Good bag. Over the shoulder quick release has never held since day 1 (would not hold two magazines without disengaging). Fixed via a zip tie. Other than that major failing it is a decent bag. Pros: Inexpensive Cons: Over shoulder quick release sucks

I couldn’t reach for a pistol quickly

by Rk, from CA, United States Written on January 27, 2019
The pack isnt designed for me. Im right handed and I thought I would be able to quickly reach for a pistol in the zippered section. But I guess you’d have to buy it and find out for yourself how awkward the design is, then pay 10 dollars to return it. I kept it simply because I didn’t want to pay $10 shipping costs and the hassle!
Pros:
  • Nice material, looks great.
  • Nice looking and color
Cons:
  • Awkward design for me
Best Used for:
  • Not sure what I can use it for yet

Made to measure

by Ranger Rusa, from NSW, Australia Written on May 18, 2017
Can't believe it. Just what I was looking for. Have it ready to go, just add some snack foods emergency equipment, first aid etc and ready for a day in the field, hunting, scouting or fishing. I knew my brother would be impressed, so I purchased two, now have a Christmas gift for him.

Multi Use Bag

by Angel, from GA, United States Written on May 15, 2017
This bag is a much better value than lots of other very similar bags that cost much more than this one. I have always found that the Leapers UTG products are simply great products for a great price. The bag is extremely well made and versatile, so it can be used as a multi function bag for your needs. If you are looking for a bag that is small, but can keep a large number of items neatly organized, you will be happy that you have this bag to make your life a little easier.

Nice bag though Id like to see a version with a zip closure for the main compartment.

by brandon, from CA, United States Written on October 29, 2015
I bought 2 of these bags and like them a lot. I would however prefer the main compartment to be a zip closure rather than the pull-string, so it could be sealed and secured completely. The pull string makes it convenient if you want to reach your hand in and out often but Id prefer the option of a zip closure to secure items in the largest part of the bag and perhaps a pull string for a smaller pocket. Still a 5 star bag in my opinion, a different version with a zip closure would be nice.

Highly Recommended

by WILDWEST42, from VA, United States Written on December 19, 2014
I wanted a bag that covered a wide variety of uses. Something that could be used as a camera bag, get home bag, or a tactical diaper bag if I had a need. But what I have chosen to use it for (and intend to place one in each vehicle we have) is an emergency survival kit. Within it I have placed emergency medical kits, fire starting equipment, candles, a small blanket and tarp, chem lights, a metal canteen, etc. The pockets are numerous and sturdy. The stitching is excellent. Overall construction is equivalent to bags of much more recognizable names (and thus higher price tags). Worn as a cross shoulder bag the straps are adjustable to comfortably carry this on a hip, or whichever height you would want. I could easily see using this for a short hike to carry useful items. For an overnight hike you would probably want a true backpack. For a survival bag, or get home bag this is precisely what I envisioned. Great quality.

Great Bag

by David, from MI, United States Written on September 13, 2013
This bag is very well made and can carry a lot of gear for a "Get Home" bag. This bad can also be used for a range bag that can carry heavy ammo and shooting gear. The only thing I can see them making a improvement is to add a carrying handle on the top to make it easy loading and unloading the bag out of a car instead of holding on to the shoulder strap. Other then that, this bag is well made and worth the money.
Pros: Lots of room, dependable, strong and well built
Cons: Need a carrying handle for in closed areas

Leapers UTG Messenger Bag

by David, Verified Owner from MI, United States Written on July 26, 2013
You will never go wrong with buying any Leapers (UTG) gear. They are very well built and will not break the bank. This messenger bag is very good for a 12 hour bug out bag.
Pros: Lots of room, dependable, strong and well built
Cons: Needs a handle if shoulder strap is not used.

Best Value in a Tactical Messenger Bag

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from CO, United States Written on March 30, 2013
Great value for the money. Pros might want to find something for Maxpedition or 5.11, but for the rest of us this bag is up to the job.

Rear compartment will hold a 7" Nexus tablet or CZ P-07 9mm (or other medium sized) handgun. Internal velcro for to secure.

Main compartment has an inner drawstring seal and is covered by the main flap. My only complaint is that if it was raining really hard, water could get under the flap and there is a chance it would eventually seep in through the center of the inner drawstring cover. However, for most practical purposes it is effectively water resistant.

The bag could also use a small built in handle to carry securely without having it slung.
Pros: Value, Quality, Functionality, Concealed Handgun Compartment
Cons: Main compartment is only 99% sealed against rain.

Great functional bag

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on August 24, 2012
I really love this bag and am about to order another one in a different color. It's extremely well-made and I'm really surprised how inexpensive it is for the quality that you receive. There are a bunch of different pockets with heavy-duty zippers and the fabric is also tough and resilient. There is mesh backing for ventilation when carrying it and overall everything is very well thought-out.
Pros: Quality, great-looking, lots of different pockets
