This mount will not hold zero no matter what I tried. Even on lightweight 1-6x LVPO the mount will flex under recoil and zero changes.
Clamping force tolerance is really narrow. If you're able to attach the mount to your siderail easily then it's definitely way too loose and you'll have some play under recoild between the side rail and the mount. Perfect clamping force is when you're just barely able to twist the lever by hand. And even then sometimes after shooting it's clear that the mount have moved from recoil. And all of this when using UTG's own side rail! I would imagine that to fit the same company's mount?
Having the provided side picatinny attached at all times is a requirement. Wihtout the picatinny providin some structural support the mount is almost like a wet noodle. With the picatinny it's still very easy to bend the scope in every direction with just moderate finger nudge.
