ALA's Review of Leapers UTG T4 Series 4X32 Prismatic 36-Color Illuminated Riflecope
I tested and tried adjusting this scope over the past a two months. Presently the POI is still ‘right’ of POA by at 2 inches. Today I retested everything again and this is what I’ve determined.
(A) The base tends to lean right if tightened down hard, but can be corrected.
(B) But the worst part I is that even when the base is leveled evenly with the gun, the scope itself leans heavily to the right! The scope does not seat squarely (level) in its base plate.
What I’ve done to correct for the primary issue “B” above, is to sand away material from the left side of the base scope groove. This is now moving the scope more to the left and into balance in its base mount. I may have to sand away more material on the left side of the base scope mount to get the scope fully level with the base & gun. A whole LOT of unnecessary work for a new scope!
The only reason I did not return this scope initially, is because I like its core features so much: etched T-recticle, fixed 4x magnification, Red/Blue illumination, and clear glass.
UTG should attach this scope base flat to a normal flat rail base with a quick-release.
