Every solder should have one
Bought this one for my son who is in the army, but fell in love with it, and got a second one for myself. It is a handful but does give you the whole shooters tool case to on your belt. I'm still finding ways to use it, make sure you save the instructions! It has all heavy duty tools no scissors or tweezers so I'll be keeping my WAVE for the smaller fixes. These should be standard issue, my son showed the SGT and staff at the station and they all ordered them, from opticsplanet.
Pros: Almost every tool you will need out in the field

awesome tool
Got this for my wife whos is an armorer in the army, this tool is her go to she loves it awesome for weapons maintenance and getting crazy jams out. Shoot i think i may get me one too, a bit price but you get what you pay for.

good tool, I thought I was getting new
Leatherman box was opened, not sure why. There seemed to be something missing, instructions maybe .. hard to say because if it was missing I wouldn't know if it was. Would have been nice if there was a file in there too, but not pay of this package. It will be with me and my blaster.

great product from leatherman
This is an awesome multi-tool. If you are a true yankee, i'd have one. Carry it on you plate carrier loadout or keep it with you everyday to work, either way it's a great addition to your gear. As always, great service and customer support from the team at optics planet. I will continue to be a customer as the brick and mortar shops just don't supply the gear I'm looking for.

Best multitool
The leatherman mut is the toughest multitool ive used all the important tools. Its a bit heavy, but not unnessessarily so.
Sheath is nice. Also m4 front sight tool is very handy these features combined with leathermans warranty make it a "no brainer"

Must have...
Absolutely a must have for any AR owner!!!!!! A little on the heavy side, but a must have in your go bag. Case is fantastic with the ability to have additional tools added later. Built to last!!!!!

MUT Multi Tool is a handy tool
This tool is ok for what it is. The only reason I am saying ok is because of the price of this tool. I am sure there are better tools out there for least. The tool does seem to be well made. If needed one could replace parts on the tool. I have to admit I got hang up on some of the blogs and Youtube videos regarding this tool. If I had to do it all over again I would purchase multi-tool that was a little less expensive that does the same thing. Due to the cost is the reason why I gave it 4 stars.

Looked at others but this is the tool to have if you have an AR rifle

Leatherman MUT Stainless Steel Multi Tool
I purchased this as an addition to a bug out bag. It's great for that use, but is specifically tailored for AR-15 users. The punch, carbon scraper, and bolt override tool are all aimed at AR-15 (M4) use. I also appreciated the included wrench which is the common size for AR-15 optics mounts. One of the other high points for me is the compatibility with OTIS cleaning kits. Very well thought out. Like all Leatherman products the fit and finish is first class. The only thing on my wish list for this tool, would be a can
opener.

Multi tool
I was able to use the needlenose plier to remove suppressor stuck on mu gun barrel. Allows better grip than couple gerber tools I tried. I also like the knife. It is sharp out of the box and retains its edge well. I have been carrying it and leaving my usual EDC knife at home. I open a lot cardboard boxes at work and the knife still cuts like new without sharpening.
It's the only tool(other than cleaning stuff)take with me to the range now.
