Rick-K's Review of Hi-Lux Optics CMR Series 1-4x24 Rifle Scope
I found this scope while searching for "the right scope" for my AR. I liked the SWFA scopes but at the time I was looking to buy were not in stock. I started looking and found this Leatherwood and the more I researched the scope the better I liked it. The company has a long history of tactical and military quality scopes and features not found on other scopes. The CMR ( close-medium range) has a unique turret locking with their "Zero Locking System" and all the testing review I found showed it return to zero never failed. The glass is great and as clear as scopes costing $1000 of dollars, and the quality fully multi-coated lenses are utilized to provide a clear and sharp image. Use in low light conditions hasn’t been overlooked and light transmission is the best in its class. "Tri-Center” spring tension for positive windage and elevation adjustment, and a Fast Focus large diameter ocular lens. Hi-Lux’s CMR scope offers exceptional performance at a shockingly affordable price. About Hi-Lux Optics: Hi-Lux Optics’ roots reach back to the ART series of sniper scopes adopted by none other then the United States Army and successfully fielded during the Vietnam War. The top scoring sniper of this conflict utilized an ART scope designed by one of Leatherwood's founders, Jim Leatherwood. Glass etched reticle allows for more intricate reticle design. This reticle is designed specifically for standard .223 & .308 service ammo at 600 meters. It is made in red or green illuminated circle and center dot reticle and the test I seen the center never failed when the scope was abused. It has a focus adjustment and the illuminated circle power has 3 NV settings and 1-10 lighted with 2 off positions between the NV1 and 1 and another between 5 and 6 so if you want your scope to power on for daylight choice the 0 between 5-6 or power on in low light at the normal off between NV1-1 power setting. For the price I'd choose this scope every time for my guns for a close to medium range and I found videos of accurate shots out to 500 yds. There are a lot more features about this scope that should put it easy in the 1200 dollar range but the company wanted to keep the price down, it has options only found on scopes costing 3x as much. I know I like it!
