Cool reticle that eventually develops distracting specks. - Hi-Lux Optics Close to Medium Range CMR 1-4x24mm LPVO Rifle Scope, 30mm Tube, Second Focal Plane

Since my purchase, this scope has been to the range twice. Pulled it out recently, and there are black specks all over the field of view. I cleaned the lenses, but it looks like the flecks are at the level of the reticle (as they catch the red illumination when it's on). There are about 10 specks and it's a bit distracting. If you buy this, know that the etched reticle will seemingly disintegrate over time.

Based on the warranty, this is not a covered issue, so buyer beware.
