Hi lux cmr 4 - Hi-Lux Optics CMR4 1-4x24mm Rifle Scope w/ Illuminated CMR4 Ranging Reticle

This is my third Hi Lux CMR rifle scope. The first two were the original CMR models which have endured years of service on AR rifles. I was originally drawn to them by the reticle design but soon discovered the optical clarity and tracking of this optic were hi quality. In comparison with other optics, even higher priced optics, the CMR was much better. The transition to the CMR4 came after buying a 1x4 optic from a different manufacturer that was more expensive yet left me disappointed. I finally stopped trying to reinvent the wheel and stuck with something I knew would work. This CMR4 optic is clear, bright and the adjustments are smooth. I really like the windage turret located on the left side as I often shoot from a rest. The clicks adjustments are positive and the turret covers are a bonus when transporting my rifle. I have this optic in an American Defense quick release mount so I can transfer it to another rifle for load testing. Then simply return it to the original rifle and the zero stop insures I'm still sighted in. The reticle differs from the original in that it uses mil lines in addition to the BDC. The illumination also includes the BDC stadia unlike the original that just illuminated the circle segment and center dot. The only improvement I would make would be to eliminate the BDC and just use mils. Let's face it, most situations where a rifle might be used don't conform to a standard set of conditions. When I need a 1x4 optic in the future, regardless of the application, I will purchase another Hi Lux CMR4.
