Most Helpful Positive Review Hi-Lux AR Riser
I bought this to go with my Micro-Max red dot after seeing it in an online review. I was attracted by it's unique design. Unfortunately, it's unique design is its likely downfall. I've not had any trouble with mine (because I haven't dropped it yet), but the thin material that makes up the actual riser portion is a likely breaking point if your rifle were to be dropped. It does help provide a good co-witness for your BUIS. Overall, it gets the job done and should be fine for the average recreational shooter.

Miss placed had to buy another

Leather wood has great products. the red dot is set on a Ruger gunsite scout 308win; the sight is doing great has been on the same platform for 4 yrs. Holds its zero well and still has the same battery and came with an extra battery.

Just right

I swapped my B-dot onto my x95 and found it too low. This mount lifted the sight just enough to make it easy to get my eyeball into it and it now co-witnesses with the iron sights. All required hardware was included but you will need a T10 and T15 Torx bit.
Pros:

  • Rifles with straight stocks

This product is manufactured to tight tolerance with quality materials. The form, fit, and finish is what we have come to expect from this manufacture. This assembled perfectly to the optic on the firearm to achieve a 1/3 coefficient sight with the iron sights.

Mounting Screws Not Up to Par

I got this mounted up just in time for a rifle class and by the end of the second day the mounting screw had sheared off inside the mount. Now the entire mount is completely useless. Might be fine for a range toy but I wouldn't use it on anything that would see serious use or high round counts.

Micro-Max Riser

very well built, no machining marks or tool chatter, very tight tolerance to the rail, no issues mating up to optic. All screws thread well and are included. Built for the Micro Max, it is a lower co-witness and is a very solid mount for the money.

We had already bought the sight and needed the riser. This is made for that sight and works perfectly. It is not expensive and very easy and quick to install. I was surprised at how sturdy it is - a real plus for us.

Top Dog of Micro's

This is a very good solid mount for my Hi-Lux Micro-Max B Red Dot. It puts the sight at a perfect height for BUIS. I recently went out to the range to test fire this sight and mounting system, and found that it is just what I wanted on my hunting AR-15

If you buy the Leatherwood HI-Lux Micro - Max B Dot for an AR15 this is a must. The riser brings your optic to the correct height. Very simple to install on optic and weapon. Works awesome would recommend to anyone.

If you are going to put the Hi-Lux Micro-Max B Dot on an AR, you must get this riser.
Perfect height, super solid attachment(I added a drop of blue Loctite to mounting bolt) to upper receiver rail and same Leatherwood high quality.
