Poor quality threads very green

Threads on picatinny mount were stripped right out of the box. Optic is very green. More so than other red dots ive purchased. Disappointed. Flip up covers are nice and solid. See through cover is a nice feauture and lens covers being removable is also a plus.

Good for casual use

Red dot appears more like multiple red dots rather then a single dot. Intensity adjustment sometimes doesn't turn red dot on. Ok for casual shooting but would not depend on it as home defense option. The price was cheap enough .

Good luck!

Ordered red dot with great excitement. When the red dot Came in I put it on my Arsenal AK 74. Three days later I took the rifle to the range and fired it less than 30 times, The red dot went out and never came back on. Oh well, maybe you will have better luck with it than I did!

Hi-Lux Optics 1x 30 mm

This is surprisingly high quality Red Dot. I used on my AR first and then on my AK with not problems. Easy to mount and adjust. On par with other high end and more expensive ones. It fit and look great on both AR and AK. I definitely recommend it. Worth the money.

  • Priced well.
Cons:
  • Mounts alittle low R15 style rifle I used a mount riser
Best Used for:
  • AR/M4 platforms,Ak-47,Scar,etc

Great Combo

Both items are of high quality. The rail attached easily and is very sturdy. The optic...wow!
Very well built and adjusting it was easy. I found this optic watching Scootch from YouTube and man am I glad I took his reckmmendation. Will prob purchase another in the near future.

a little fuzzy

Excellent construction however, the red-dot is not perfectly round. Mounted optic on an AR15 but will need a riser, probably 3/4" to 1" to get perfect alignment. As far as functionality, I'll be headed to the range today so much better feel for performance later.

Leatherwood/ Hilux 1x30 red dot

Installed securely in minutes on a NC star base on my Ruger 582 Custom wood stocked 223 ranch rifle. It looks good, doesn't sit very high, seems rugged enough based on other reviews. I haven't fired it yet but I'm very hopeful it will work for my purposes.

Cheap sight is ok close up

I really didn't expect much from a red dot for $50, so in all fairness I gave it 3 stars. It seems pretty stout and I like the flip up shaded lens caps. The dot is not uniformly round. My biggest gripe is parallax. No matter where I place it, my eye or distance, the dot is all over the place. I've mounted it to co-witness with the front post on an AKM with a slide fire stock. With a 30 rd mag at 50 yds, it should place a few hits. It's a good size for fast acquisition at close range on an AK, but don't expect it to shoot MOA with an AR.

  • Big boar hog charging too close to avoid

Everything I wanted for the right price!

Just right for a low cost AK-47 optic upgrade. The Leatherwood Tactical sight is the right size, rugged, and looks great. Red dot optics significantly enhances the functionality of AKs. The quick release side mount is better made than I expected. AK owners, this is the best bang for the buck that you can find!
