Plan on spending some time to mount this unit. The M1A was really not designed for a scope mount so add-on mounts are a compromise. Plan on replacing the allen head set screws as the are soft Chinese metal and your wrench will strip out in the screw if any pressure is used. Other components seem to be of good steel. I went to Tru-Value and for less than 2 dollars replace the two supplies set screws.
Pros: The windage adjustment will allow you to align your scope without difficulty. After 60 rounds fired the mount remains secure. The price is low and works fine. I have tried other mounts and had them shoot loose, this one works.
Pros: Stays secure. Will not shoot loose.
Cons: Difficult to mount. Complex design.
