Lee Deluxe Pistol Die Sets .38 Special 90964
Using these with a Hornady L&L progressive, they work great. These dies will do 357 magnum also. No problems with length in the Hornady set up. Crimp die does a very nice roll crimp, looks just like factory ammo.

These basically go right into a 4-position turret die-ring. Optimally you are able to eventually have a caliber specific 4-piece set. One set for .357 and another set for .38 spec. No the roll crimper isn't a necessity, especially with a rimmed cartridge but adds a nice finishing touch. Especially for hot +p and 158gn BE-86 or your Bludot cylinder melting loads. Make sure you don't over clean, if at all, the primer pocket, the primers seat tight, the tighter the better. I mean why reload if all you want are standard over the counter factory loads? The RECENT 2020 cost hike in reload components drives home this point. Thus pushing reloading into another dimension, it's the new reloader that questions the way things get done.

Always dependable
Lee 38/357 deluxe carbide dies. Lee makes very dependable dues. I prefer using them over buying ammo (when ammo was available-lol). Optics planet is always a top 3 choice when I’m looking for sporting goods.

Lee Quality - Lousy Packaging
The product itself is great. This is the second Lee Die Sets I have purchased and the quality, and instructions are excellent. However, the product was placed inside a large box, minimum packing was put in, and the lid came off of the die set box. A couple of the dies were rolling around inside the packing box. The quality of the dies was evident in that none of the threads appear to be damaged. I haven't used this set yet but have the same set in 9mm I have used. I expect the same quality from these. Someone needs to check the quality of the shipping department in packing items sent to customers. Great Product - Very unprofessional shipping.

die set 38 special
This works with the Lee challenger press. Instructions are easy to follow about how to screw the dies in. This is a very durable set. I recommend using the lee powder funnel with it. I am fairly new to reloading. I had just used the lee classic loader and this is so much better and easier system.
