Most Helpful Positive Review Great Little Press
I bought this to go along with my bigger press. This press is excellent for decapping and priming. I'm not into large scale reloading so this is perfect for my use. For the price you can't beat this one. I wouldn't hesitate to do complete reloading with this press. If you're not in a hurry you won't...

Most Helpful Negative Review It's not what they say it is.
OpticsPlanet advertises this as made of cast iron. It's not. I was surprised when FedEx delivered the package in that it was so light. It's because the frame is made of cast aluminum. I purchased this press to serve as a dedicated primer pocket swager. I sincerely hope it can hold up to the rig...

Pros:
  • Great Price, Easy to Use, Gets the Job Done
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Beginner Reloaders or someone who enjoys the process

Great option for beginning reloaders

by Jeff, from TX, United States Written on April 11, 2023
This C-frame aluminum body press is a great low-cost option for beginners and those on a budget. have loaded some very accurate match-grade ammo with the press and it works flawlessly. Won't flex or misalign during use. It makes a great compact option for decapping so that you get get the debris all over your main reloading press and this is what I use it for and with priming cases with my RCBS Ram priming die. It is just fine for all of the listed tasks. If you doubt these claims, the press is very inexpensive. You can just buy it and refute these claims for yourself.
Pros:
  • Cheap and very compact
Cons:
  • really none
Best Used for:
  • Reloading

Great press for depriming brass.

by Chris Ralles, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on February 25, 2021
I purchased this press for the main purpose of de-priming brass. It is perfect for that purpose as it is low cost, small and easy to store. I mounted it to a 10 in long 2 x 4 and use C clamps to secure it to my bench for de- priming. Used with the Lee Universal De-priming die, it is a winning combination.
Pros:
  • cost affective
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • depriming brass
Would recommend: Yes

A Solid, Entirely Functional Little Press

by MichiganMike, from MI, United States Written on November 19, 2020
This is the second Lee Breech Lock Reloading press I have purchased.Like others, my first one was used purely for decapping spent brass and seating cast bullets. This press worked perfectly for this purpose. I did not want to spend $90 plus for the larger Lee press.

The fact that it is made of aluminum doesn't concern me. It is a strong metal. They do build airplanes and AR-15 upper receivers out of it.

Since then I have sold my long guns as I no longer hunt. I will be using this little press for reloading 9mm (9X19mm Luger). This press will be more than adequate for resizing the small, straight walled 9mm brass. I don't need the compound linkage and the leverage it provides to handle the 9mm brass.

Try it; you'll like it.
Pros:
  • Inexpensive well built entirely functional
Cons:
  • Not the best press for someone resizing large rifle brass
Best Used for:
  • decapping spent brass. resizing lead bullets, reloading pistol ammunition

Has a purpose.

by E, Verified Owner from WA, United States Written on September 9, 2020
Frame is cast aluminum as others have stated. I am using this to de-prime and trim with the Lee Quick Trim. Have removed 1000 9MM and 500 223 primers. Trimmed all of these cases too. If using to de-prime you will need to buy or make a stand, the primers drop into the frame of the press.
Pros:
  • Inexpenseive
Cons:
  • Aluminium so need to take care not to abuse.
Best Used for:
  • light use

Nice as a second station press etc.

by Wm Palmer, from SC, United States Written on September 2, 2017
I use this with the Lee Crimp die to finish my reloads. It is easier and faster than changing out dies on my Rock Chucker...The C press is not the strongest but it will handle most jobs other that Full Resizing large rifle cases , with ease. They are inexpensive, take up minimal room and work....can not beat the price.

Lee single stage press

by Bigdaddywoowoo, from IL, United States Written on November 4, 2016
I already own one of these, but wanted to add another station. A very good press, that now comes with the breech lock, and it was on sale. I reload 380, 9, 223, 300 blk, and planning on 308 with one of these and Lee dies, great system.
