It Melts the Lead
Hadn't had a chance to actually cast any lead yet but I did stick a few lbs of lead in it and melt them. They seemed to melt relatively fast. There was a good bit of smoke as to be expected. There isn't a rest at the bottom to rest your molds on like the 20lb pot has but I plan on just sticking some type of support underneath. Seems to be constructed well, the valve appears to be well designed. I can't wait to cast some pistol ammo!
Lee Melter Pot
The Lee melter works well. The price was really good and the shipping was fast. It heats up very quickly and does not leak any lead. Easy to use. The Lee melter does what it is supposed to. This is a good product and I recommend it.

Good lead pot
Lee makes good lead melting pots. I have owned 3 in the past 21 years. The first one lasted 20 years and died from over use. The second one failed when lead may have had other metals mixed with it and clogged the drain. Not the fault of Lee Pot. Now I'm on my third pot. Lead nowadays have some other alloy mixed with it, which does not work well in the Lee melting pot. Make sure you are using 100% lead in your melting pot and you'll be good to go.
