Very decent performance - Leupold 20 - 60 x 80 SX1 Ventana Angled Spotting Scope

I had this scope at the long range for the first time recently. Conditions were not the clearest with the humidity haze, and I was using black targets, but I was able to see 5.56 holes at 300 yards (barely), and 7.62 maybe a little further. With white or shoot 'n see style targets I'm sure I would have been able to spot hits a little further out. I do have 20/20 vision however.

The tripod is almost too unstable to be usable, but better than nothing. Definitely something to be upgraded. The case and soft cover are nice though. If you want to spot bullet holes beyond 400-500 yards or so this probably won't cut it, but it is very good for this price range.
