Very bad individual scope - Leupold Competition 45x45mm Rifle Scope, 30 mm Tube, Second Focal Plane (SFP)

The scope I received had serious optical problems. Even after focusing as best as possible for 50, 100, and 200 yards it was still very fuzzy/milky looking with a green halo around the black rings of our competition targets. I immediately returned the scope to Leupold at a cost of $43 for packing and shipping and it was returned to me in about 3 weeks with the same issue. I had another competitor compare it as mounted on my Anschutz 54 with the Weaver T-36 mounted on my wife's Anschutz 64 and he agreed this $1100 Leupold had serious issues and was completely unusable. I again contacted Leupold and they provided a UPS tag for shipping this time. It is currently at Leupold so I'm hoping they fix it this time or replace it. The reason I gave it a 1 star but would recommend it is that I'm sure this is a one-off problem and all other Leupold scopes I've owned have been flawless so I attribute this ones issue to the possibility of shipping/handling. On the other hand I was disappointed that Leupold service returned it to me after 3 weeks with the same issue. As I'm writing this UPS just delivered the scope to me. I will be mounting it shortly and will give my final thoughts. Back shortly.
After mounting scope I find it to be perfect :-)
