I PURCHASED THIS FOR BENCHREST SHOOTING AND THIS WAS THE FISRT FIXED FOCUS SCOPE I HAVE PURCHASED. I WAS UNABLE TO ADJUST OUT OF A HEAVY MIRAGE CONDITION DURING A SHOOTING MATCH AND DROPPED 15 POINTS FROM MY SCORE BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE

great target scope

This is a great scope when used as intended. It is not a hunting scope and quick shooting target aquisition is impossible. I use it for a benchrest scope and my requirements are a scope with a simple fine crosshair reticle, clear optics, and rock solid hold. It satisfies this.

Leupold Competition 45x45mm scope

Very impressive overall. FOV is quite small, however the glass is bright and clear, and adjustments are right on with an audible click for reference. Mounted it on my BR .223 so I can't comment much about the affects of recoil, but I wouldn't hesitate to mount one on a .308 or 6.5 given Leupolds reputation and warranty. A great choice for benchrest shooting.

45x45 competition

Love the first one I bought, would have bought another if Leupold continued with the fine crosshair. Instead a target dot was added and that cost them my business. Went to Nightforce, where one can still purchase just the fine crosshair.

Nice optics

It's a Leupold. Crosshairs are so fine you can split tacks with it. Glass is clear compared to other scopes in same price range.
It track well and repeatable. And then there is Leupold warranty. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Great Scope

I like this scope. I've been shooting 22LR, 50 yard Benchrest matches with what I thought was a accurate rifle. I was using a Leupold 3 to 9 by 40mm scope and was scoring in the high 230's to low 240's. I thought I could do better with better optics. So, I bought this scope. My last two matches with the new scope - 247 with 8x's and 248 with 8x's. I think the scope made a difference. The optics provide a clear focused picture of the target and cross hairs. The 1/8 min target dot really makes for precision aiming.

Best target scope I ever owned

I love the scope. The picture is clear. The magnification is incredible. It is a great item. The only complaint I have is that there was some machining debris residual in the tube which was sticking to the eyepiece lens internally. Leupold told me I could send it back and they would clean it up for me. I would've expected a little better cleanliness from this compan,y but that is the only negative thing I have to say about it. if you are wondering whether you should get this one or not I say jump on it!

Leupold Competition Series 45x45mm Rifle Scope Review

This is the first scope that I have ever purchased. I did see check out other scopes for a long range rifle to use at a range. This Leupold Competition Series 45x45mm Rifle Scope has good eye relief. The target image was very clear which is the main purpose of this scope. It is a long scope. The black outer finish is not at good as I expected it to be. The threaded lens covers do bind a bit when putting them on.

Excellent scope for benchrest shooting. Scope hold on target very well. Nice clear cross hair when looking at the target at 100 and 200 yards. Excellent objective adjustment on the side of the scope.

Worth the Price
