BobD's Review of Leupold DeltaPoint Reflex Sight Matte 7.5 MOA Dot
Bought this for mounting on a S&W M&P Pro CORE 9MM. After reviews of the several optics that the CORE supports I selected the Leupold DeltaPoint 7.5 MOA inscribed Delta. This Optics was very hard to find in stock. I had it backordered when I found available on Planet Optics for immediate purchase. Out of the box it appears to live up to Leupold's reputation for quality optics.
The reason I rated it only 4 stars is because I have yet to mount it awaiting a response from Leupold technical support on a question I have - the instructions specify tightening the lock screws to 4 inch pounds (max) with the supplied Torx wrench after zeroing the optics. After a couple of days of internet searching I cannot find a Torx Torque wrench that goes down to 4 in lbs at a reasonable price. Planet Optics carries a Wheeler product that goes down to 10 in lbs (2.5 times the max). I have suggested in my inquiry to Leopold that a reference to tightening the lock screws to 4 in lbs in their operating instructions is somewhat impractical for the average shooter who probably does not own expensive gunsmithing tools.
