Coon dog's Review of Leupold Dual Dovetail DD Bases
Excellent quality, no surprises here as it is Leupold ! If any complaint it would be to length. The mount is basically the length of the frame which limits you to a relatively short area for mounting the scope. If it were a little longer like some of the other mounts available you would have the ability to mount the scope a little further forward. The dovetail rings are absolutely solid. Made from honest to god steel both mounts and rings no concern of movement or warping here.
Pros:
- Solid steel, excellent fit and quality as one would expect from Leupold
- Solid steel, excellent fit and finish as you would expect as it is Leupold
Cons:
- Length, would like the availability of a longer mount
